The Commancheros The Comancheros grew up playing rock and heavy metal. Then, they fell in love with Willie Nelson. This tension has created music that is as down to earth as it is grungy. More importantly, it’s music that comes up from the soil of Missouri and takes the listener on a musical journey from the Ozarks to the Mississippi on a Harley. It’s not perfect, but it’s incredibly real.
Tim Allen Tim Allen is originally from a small town in Northeast Ohio. He moved to Central Missouri in 2008 to start his own business and had started playing music on the side as a hobby. When he started writing more songs, he began to travel further and further distances to play for whoever will listen. Hard work has been something that Tim has built a career on and it is the same with music. With influences from Merle Haggard and George Jones, what he has always related to has been the lyrics and message that the music portrays. With songs like "Lifetime on the Road" and "Looking Up at a Dream" he gives you a glimpse into his own life. Tim has played different venues all around the midwest, including Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Texas, Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio, Virginia and the Carolinas. He has played shows all over with many artists including Porter Union(Springfield, MO), Alex Williams (Indianapolis), Tennessee Jet (Oklahoma), Josh Morningstar(Maryland), Jonathan Parker(North Carolina), Justin Wells(Kentucky), Eric Bolander(Kentucky), Tom McElvain(Texas), Joe Austin(Mississippi), Richie Allbright(Texas), and many others! It looks like 2019 will be busy after releasing a brand new EP produced by Cole Porter. Keep an eye out for upcoming tour announcements and everything coming up next.
The Kay Brothers The spirit of Missouri 'Stompgrass' lives on in this brand spankin' new quartet, The Kay Brothers. Though the group was born last spring, the members are certainly no strangers to the Midwest music scene. Hailing from such bands as The Hipnecks, The Hatrick, Mary & the Giant, and even a metal band - Ghost in the Machine - the players have been burning barns down since they were knee-high's and can chug moonshine without shedding a single tear. Armed with Upright Bass, Fiddle, Guitar, Harmonicas, bass drum, washboard, and sibling harmonies, they make a lot of noise... if you ride on the jangle-stomp time machine, be careful not to crack a heel.
The Burney Sisters Olivia and Emma are a dynamic sister duo with an indie folk/pop sound. Their sound is reminiscent of The Avett Brothers, First Aid Kit and the Staves with soul piercing sibling harmonies. Their EP is available on iTunes.
Blue Jay Formed in late 2016, this Mid-Western Folk trio was formed out of a mutual love for songwriting, performing, and connecting with others through music. The songwriting shoots for simple but is emotionally dense with honest lyrics. Kevin Gates of Reach Audio put it very simply; “I was impressed by the level of polish and sheer musicianship standing before me while we were in pre-production. That level of raw talent is becoming a very rare thing. I felt particularly grateful to know that I was going to be part of capturing something truly special.” Bigger Entertainment CEO Steven Cooper described the duo as "Truly original. From the very first listen I was drawn in and knew I was hearing something that no one had heard before. My team immediately went to work to sign them." ***VIDEO TO COME
