The Soybean Parade is a crowd favorite and a highlight of the festival, showcasing over 60 unique entries each year. You’ll see everything from massive farm equipment and fire trucks to classic cars, marching bands, and creative floats from local organizations and businesses.
The parade begins at Mexico High School and winds its way through downtown Mexico:
→ East on Love Street
→ South on Washington Street
→ East on Monroe Street around the square
→ South on Jefferson
→ Ends at Jackson and Coal

Cornhole Tournament

The Soybean Festival Carnival brings two full days of classic fair fun to downtown Mexico, with exciting rides, games, and attractions for all ages. Open Friday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, the carnival is one of the biggest highlights of the festival weekend for families, thrill-seekers, and fair food lovers alike.
Want to ride all you can? Unlimited ride wristbands are $30 per session and are valid during one of these designated times:
  • Friday: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Saturday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
  • Saturday: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Prefer to purchase individual rides? Tickets are available at:
  • $1.25 per ticket
  • 22 tickets for $25
  • 45 tickets for $50
Most kids' rides require 4 tickets, while most adult rides require 5 tickets.
Whether you're chasing thrills, winning prizes, or enjoying your favorite fair treats, the Soybean Festival Carnival is packed with fun from start to finish!
Please note: The carnival will take a brief break on Saturday afternoon for about an hour between 4:00 and 6:00 PM, depending on weather conditions. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for timing and updates.

The Soybean Festival Car Show brings chrome, classics, custom builds, motorcycles, and more to the Mexico City Square on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Hosted by the Mexico Jaycees and Freedom of Road Riders Local 13, the show features everything from vintage restorations to one-of-a-kind builds. All proceeds benefit the Betty Adams Memorial Toy Fund.
